Palestinians Injured and Arrested in Escalating West Bank Raids

Israeli forces and settlers have intensified raids across the occupied West Bank, leaving multiple injuries and displacing thousands in Hebron.

Israeli military forces and settlers have stepped up operations across the occupied West Bank, resulting in injuries, home demolitions, restricted movement, and numerous arrests. The ongoing escalation coincides with a strict military offensive and siege in the Hebron governorate, which has now entered its seventh consecutive week of disruptions.

During a raid in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of occupied East Jerusalem, clashes erupted on Thursday. Medical personnel from the Palestine Red Crescent Society reported treating two children wounded during the operation. A fifteen-year-old boy sustained live ammunition injuries in both legs, while a twelve-year-old child was hit by live-bullet fragments. Both minors were subsequently transferred to a hospital for medical care. In a separate incident near Bethlehem, soldiers and settlers assaulted a disabled man in the village of al-Maniya.

Thousands of Palestinians have been forced from their homes as military operations continue across Hebron.

In the northern territory, pre-dawn raids on Thursday led to the detention of thirteen individuals, mostly within the Nablus governorate, where troops searched residences and questioned local families. According to prisoner advocacy groups, more than one hundred people were detained across Hebron alone over a recent six-day span. Military measures in Hebron follow a previous fatal shooting incident involving two soldiers and two Palestinian suspects.

Local authorities report that thousands of residents have been compelled to flee their properties due to the ongoing offensive. The displaced population includes hundreds of infants, elderly individuals, pregnant women, and people managing chronic medical conditions. Furthermore, educational activities for hundreds of thousands of students have been transitioned to remote learning systems as movement restrictions block access to classrooms.

International organizations and humanitarian groups note that military operations continue to severely restrict basic services, including healthcare, education, and general livelihoods. In addition to residential displacements, armed individuals recently targeted foreign journalists and activists during field reporting in Masafer Yatta, leading to arrests and equipment confiscation.

Troops have also initiated the removal of local memorials and murals in various parts of the Hebron region. Observers indicate that the systematic destruction of public monuments has become an increasingly frequent occurrence during military operations across multiple governorates.
