66 US lawmakers signed a letter asking the Trump administration to stop the deportation of 150 Afghans.
The planned deportations involve flying detainees from Louisiana to Pakistan.
Advocates state many of the Afghans targeted for removal did not have legal counsel to fight their cases.
The US government has already deported at least 25,000 people to third countries under current policies.
