Simon Richardson was jailed for life with a minimum term of 25 years for murder.
He dragged headteacher Michael Mullins for over a mile under his Volvo XC90.
The defendant had 28 previous offences and a significant history of driving crimes.
Mullins died from multiple injuries after being left on a grass verge in Lymm.
