Simon Parkes vanished in Gibraltar on 12 December 1986 while serving in the Royal Navy.
His mother Margaret Parkes wants suspected killer Allan Grimson to reveal where the body is.
Grimson is currently serving a life sentence for two murders and a further 22 years for sexual offences.
An inquest into Simon Parkes' disappearance is scheduled to be held in Gibraltar next year.
