A 24-year-old woman died after collapsing near the end of the New York City Marathon.
Her father stated that she passed away from rhabdomyolysis following heavy exercise.
She was running her first marathon in honor of her late grandfather.
Medical staff attempted resuscitation at the scene and at a medical center.
