The UN is demanding a transparent investigation into the death of staffer Mohammad el-Shami.
El-Shami was one of many aid workers detained by the Houthis on espionage allegations.
This is the second UN staff member to die in Houthi custody since February 2025.
The Houthis maintain total control over detention centers, preventing independent oversight.
