A 40-year-old woman was arrested and charged by Western Australian police.
Charges include aggravated stalking and demanding property by written threats.
Police allege the accused is a former partner of Senator Jordon Steele-John.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in a Perth court on Thursday morning.
