Two Waller men must serve lengthy prison terms after pleading guilty to kidnapping and robbing a Minnesota family of millions in digital assets.
Two siblings from Waller, Texas, received lengthy federal prison sentences following their guilty pleas for an armed robbery involving digital assets and the abduction of a Minnesota household. Raymond Christian Garcia and Isiah Angelo Garcia learned their punishments from US District Judge Donovan W. Frank, according to federal authorities. The judicial decisions concluded a case stemming from events that occurred months prior.
Court filings detailed that the siblings traveled from Texas to Minnesota in September 2025. They entered a residential property in Grant at gunpoint, restraining the occupants with plastic ties. The victims remained confined and under threat for over nine hours while the perpetrators demanded access to digital currency holdings. Because the initial haul did not meet expectations, the attackers compelled one victim to travel to an upstate location to extract additional funds from various hardware devices. The total stolen value exceeded eight million dollars in digital assets.
The operation ended when a member of the targeted household managed to contact emergency services. Law enforcement subsequently tracked and apprehended the siblings near Houston. Federal prosecutors emphasized the severe impact of the intrusion on the victims and the surrounding community. ## texas brothers face federal sentencing after crypto kidnapping
