Rajat Patidar steps down from the India A squad for the Rising Stars Asia Cup due to existing injuries, with Ayush Badoni taking his place.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced that batter Rajat Patidar has withdrawn from the upcoming ACC Men's Rising Stars Asia Cup squad. Patidar communicated to the board that he needs to manage his current injury concerns and requested not to be considered for selection in the fifty-over format. The selection committee named Ayush Badoni as his replacement for the continental competition, which is scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar, from November nineteen to twenty-nine.
Alongside this replacement, the board confirmed adjustments to the team's leadership setup. Rinku Singh, initially selected in the squad without a designated leadership role, has been appointed as the vice-captain. Tilak Varma will continue to lead the side as captain. The inclusion of Ayush Badoni provides the squad with an additional batting option, bringing his domestic and Indian Premier League experience to the team.

Patidar's departure means the team enters the tournament without the experienced Madhya Pradesh batter, who was originally designated as the deputy to the captain. The updated roster features several prominent players, including Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Harshit Rana, and wicketkeeping options Prabhsimran Singh and Kumar Kushagra.
This personnel change alters the leadership dynamic and batting depth for the India A squad ahead of an international tournament. The adjustment impacts the team's strategic planning on the field in Doha, while giving rising talents like Ayush Badoni an opportunity to perform on a broader stage.
