Strive, a Dallas-based company co-founded by Vivek Ramaswamy, continues to expand its position among major Bitcoin firms. The company recently disclosed in an SEC filing that it acquired 124 Bitcoin between October 24 and October 30. This purchase, executed at an average cost of $80,526 per coin including fees, brings the firm's total holdings to 43,124 Bitcoin. With this latest addition, Strive now holds approximately 0.2% of the total 21 million Bitcoin that will ever exist.

Strive has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 43,124 coins, narrowing the gap with industry competitors.

Strive operates as a Bitcoin treasury company, a model popularized by Michael Saylor’s Strategy in 2020. This structure allows investors to gain exposure to the digital asset through a publicly traded stock. According to CEO Matt Cole, the latest acquisition was funded primarily through existing cash reserves, which decreased from $504.4 million to $490.4 million over the week. Additionally, the company utilized its at-the-market program to raise funds by selling shares of a new preferred security known as SATS.

Competitive Landscape Among Bitcoin Firms

Data from Bitcoin Treasuries indicates that Strive currently ranks fourth among publicly traded companies in terms of Bitcoin ownership. It sits behind Twenty One Capital, which holds 43,514 coins, and Metaplanet, which maintains a balance of 44,000 coins. MicroStrategy remains the industry leader by a significant margin, holding 849,327 Bitcoin. Based on the current pace of accumulation, Strive would theoretically surpass Twenty One Capital in four weeks and Metaplanet in eight weeks, provided those firms do not increase their own holdings.

Strive’s financial strategy involves a preferred stock offering that carries a 15% annual dividend. The company reported no debt as of October 23, though its amplification ratio—a measure of preferred stock and debt obligations relative to its Bitcoin value—stood at 62.7%. While the firm’s total Bitcoin pile is currently valued at roughly $3.3 billion, the average cost per coin for its holdings is $87,785, meaning the current market value is slightly lower than the total purchase price.

Why it matters

This accumulation highlights the growing trend of publicly listed companies adopting Bitcoin as a primary treasury asset. For investors, this provides a regulated pathway to gain exposure to the cryptocurrency market without directly managing digital wallets.

As Strive continues its aggressive purchasing strategy, it influences the competitive dynamics of corporate Bitcoin ownership. The firm's ability to maintain its treasury growth through both cash reserves and new security offerings remains a key factor for market observers tracking the institutional adoption of digital assets.
