A nurse who falsely claimed draft evaders were being tortured in a Kyiv suburb has been arrested following massive protests.

A nurse who made sensational claims about ukrainian claims of a torture facility near Kyiv has been arrested after sparking large protests. Valentyna Moloda, a 49-year-old nurse using an unverified paramedic uniform and an inactive ambulance service logo, livestreamed a demonstration outside a two-storey house in Petropavlivska-Borshchagivka.

Moloda alleged that forty men avoiding the draft were locked inside the building and subjected to severe abuse, claiming one person had died. The dramatic performance quickly drew an online audience and a crowd of five hundred people to the location, resulting in clashes with police, damaged vehicles, and thrown projectiles.

Intelligence officials stated that the rescue mission was a pre-planned stunt involving prior reconnaissance. Videos used to fuel the outrage were discovered to have been recorded days before the incident. Pro-Kremlin commentators amplified the footage globally to criticize conscription efforts in the country.

Chief of Staff Kyrylo Budanov arrived at the scene and confirmed the building had been utilized by the Azov Brigade. Commander Denys Prokopenko condemned the scandal as an act of sabotage designed to discredit service members. Four men eventually exited the property, including one individuals whose alleged spinal injury was proven false when he walked out unaided.
